PRIVACY POLICY

PromptIQ AI — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
Your privacy matters to us. PromptIQ AI ("we", "us", "our", "the Service") is designed with privacy at its core. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how it's stored, who it's shared with, and the rights you have over it. It covers our mobile apps on iOS and Android and our desktop web app at promptiq-ai.app. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.1. Who We Are
PromptIQ AI is an AI prompt engineering tool that helps you create optimised prompts for AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity. For any privacy question, or to exercise any of your rights, contact us at [email protected].
2. Summary At A GlanceYou can use the mobile app without an account. Sign-in is optional and only needed for the desktop web app and cross-device sync.
You can sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or by creating an account with your email address and a password.
Most of your content (history, favourites, persona, usage counters, learning data) is stored locally on your device and never leaves it.
We collect personal data (name, email, user ID) only when you choose to sign in, create an account, contact support, leave feedback, or redeem a promotional code.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Prompt content you generate is processed by our AI service only for as long as needed to return your result, and is not retained afterwards.
3. Information We Collect
a. Information stored only on your device (never sent to our servers)Prompt history and favourites.
Cached copies of recent generations for offline access (mobile).
Persona settings: profession/role, expertise level, industry, communication style, goals, and any optional free-text context about yourself.
Usage counters (daily and monthly counts of prompt generations, AI responses, chain generations, and master synthesis) used to enforce subscription limits.
Progressive learning data (e.g. preferred tone, most-used platform, frequent topic keywords) used to improve personalisation.
A locally generated device identifier (e.g. dev_…) used for anti-abuse and to prevent promotional-code sharing.
Authentication tokens, when you sign in, stored in your device's secure storage.
b. Information we collect when you sign in (optional)
You can sign in in one of three ways:
Google or Sign in with Apple — we receive from your chosen provider your name, email address, a unique user identifier, and your profile photo (where provided). We do not operate the password for these methods and never see your Google or Apple password.
Email and password (account creation) — when you create an account directly with us, we collect your email address, an optional display name, and a unique user identifier. Your password is securely hashed by our authentication provider (Supabase) — we never store, see, or have access to your password in readable form. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity that occurs under your account.
We use this to create and recognise your account and to sync your subscription status, prompts, favourites, history, and chain workflows across your devices.
c. Information we collect when you redeem a promotional code
When you redeem a beta, family, VIP, or influencer code, we store a redemption record on our servers (Supabase) containing:
The code redeemed, its source and type, and the number of free months granted.
Your user ID, email, and name (if you are signed in).
Your device identifier and platform (iOS/Android/web).
The date and time of redemption.
This is required to enforce per-code redemption limits, prevent the same person redeeming a code twice, detect code-sharing abuse, and let us see which codes have been used.
d. Information you submit voluntarilySupport requests — your name, email, and message are stored so we can reply.
Feedback — your rating, optional written feedback, and optional email.
e. Usage analytics
We collect limited analytics events to understand feature usage and improve the app — for example, anonymous persona selections, prompt-generation metadata (such as tone, output format, language, a short non-identifying snippet of the prompt purpose, and whether attachments were used), templates used, and general feature usage. Analytics events also record the platform (iOS/Android/web) and app version. These events are not used to build advertising profiles.
f. Subscription and payment data
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play), or Stripe (desktop web). We receive your subscription status and entitlement (via RevenueCat for mobile) so we can unlock Pro features. We do not receive or store your full card or payment-method details.
4. How We Use Your DataTo generate AI-optimised prompts, summaries, and Multi-Brain AI Synthesis responses from your input and persona context.
To power the built-in AI chat and the desktop web app.
To create, identify, authenticate, and sync your account when you sign in with Google, Apple, or email and password.
To save and sync your subscription status, prompts, favourites, history, and chain workflows across your devices (when you sign in).
To enforce subscription tier limits and fair use.
To process and validate promotional code redemptions and prevent abuse.
To respond to your support enquiries and feedback.
To maintain security, prevent fraud, and improve the Service.
To include current date/time context in prompts for more relevant results.
We rely on the following legal bases (GDPR): performance of a contract (providing the Service, account sync, subscriptions), legitimate interests (security, anti-abuse, product improvement), and consent (optional sign-in, optional support/feedback submissions).
5. How Your Data Is Shared
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service:
Google / Apple — sign-in (you interact under their own privacy policies).
Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication, including email/password account credentials (stored only as a secure hash), promo redemption records, support messages, feedback, and analytics events.
Apple, Google, Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
RevenueCat — subscription entitlement management (mobile).
Our AI processing service — receives your prompt content transiently to generate results; content is not retained after processing.
When you use the "Use in" feature to open a third-party AI platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity), we do not transmit your data to them — your prompt is copied to your device clipboard and the platform's public URL opens in your browser. Anything you then submit there is governed by that platform's own privacy policy.
6. Data Storage, Security & RetentionOn-device data is held in your device's local and secure storage and never uploaded unless required for a feature you initiate.
Account credentials are managed by our authentication provider (Supabase). Passwords are never stored in readable form — only as a securely salted hash.
Data transmitted to our servers or AI service is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS.
Prompt content sent for AI processing is not retained beyond the time needed to return your result.
Account data, promo redemption records, support messages, feedback, and analytics are retained for as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes above, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).
7. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the EU/EEA and the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your data.
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
Clear your history and favourites at any time within the app.
Sign out at any time from the Profile screen (this does not delete your account).
Delete your account and all associated data at any time, free of charge — see our Account & Data Deletion page at promptiq-ai.com, or use the in-app account deletion option, or email [email protected]. This removes your account (including email/password login credentials), synced data, promo redemption records linked to you, support and feedback submissions, and associated analytics.
Uninstalling the mobile app (or clearing browser data on web) removes all locally stored data including offline generations, history, usage counters, learning data, and persona.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you also have the rights to access, rectify, restrict, port, and object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, delete, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do not sell or share personal data as those terms are defined.
9. Children's Privacy
PromptIQ AI is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the higher age of digital consent that applies in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Questions or requests: [email protected]By using PromptIQ AI, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
